Three Scatters Start the Free Spins
Three tomb scatters anywhere on the reels start it, and ten free spins follow. Paylines are irrelevant here, and so is adjacency.
The book opens across the middle of the screen, picks a symbol, and the round begins.
The trigger is cheap by the standards of this genre, and that is the point of a book slot. Play'n GO's own wording is plain: "3 or more Scatter symbols trigger Free Spins. An initial 10 free spins are awarded."
What the Round Is, in the Studio's Own Numbers
| Part of the round | What Play'n GO states |
|---|---|
| Scatters needed to start | 3 or more, anywhere on the reels |
| Spins awarded | 10 |
| Scatters needed to re-trigger | 3 or more, during the round |
| Spins added by a re-trigger | 10 |
| Cap on total spins | None in the standard build |
| Bet during the round | Locked to the bet that triggered it |

How a Free-Spins Re-Trigger Works
It uses the same three-scatter rule as the trigger, and it can happen more than once. Land three tomb scatters while the free spins are running and another ten are added on the spot.

How far that can go stays unpublished.
The standard build states no maximum. The single "maximum 50 free spins" line we found anywhere belongs to a separate NWC build of this title rather than to the game an Italian lobby serves, and attributing that cap to the ordinary game would be wrong.
Both Features, and What They Paid
Both of our recorded sessions produced exactly one feature, and both re-triggered to twenty spins.

What they paid diverged sharply.
The first closed at 675 coins, which was 13.5 times the bet that triggered it. The second closed at 3,250 coins, or 65 times the same bet. Same trigger, same number of spins, same randomly drawn symbol, and almost a fivefold gap between them. If you want one sentence for what high volatility means in this game, that gap is it.
Our Two Recorded Features
| Session | Paid spins before it hit | Spins after re-trigger | Feature paid |
|---|---|---|---|
| First run | 46 | 20 | 675 coins, 13.5x the bet |
| Second run | 204 | 20 | 3,250 coins, 65x the bet |
One Free-Spins Round Is Not a Sample
Two events measure nothing, and we would rather say so than dress them up. Across 250 paid spins we saw the round twice, which tells you it is not common and tells you nothing reliable about how often it arrives.

The honest shape of the result is more useful than the percentage. In the second session that single feature carried 65.00 of the 176.00 that came back, so roughly a third of the whole return arrived in one burst while the other 203 spins ground the balance down. Plan a bankroll around that pattern rather than around an average.
Where This Guide Stops
How the expanding symbol is chosen, when it actually stretches, and why the gaps rule inside the round differs from the base game are covered separately. They deserve their own numbers rather than a paragraph here.
Our ranked opinion, which a rival could reasonably dispute: the re-trigger matters more than the trigger. Ten spins on a cheap symbol is usually a rounding error, and both of our paying features only became interesting once the round doubled in length.
