Book of Dead Gamble Feature: Double or Quadruple

In short: The Book of Dead gamble round is an optional bet on a face-down card that doubles a win at 50% odds or quadruples it at 25%. It ends after five tries in a row or 2,500 coins, whichever arrives first.

Guess the colour and the win doubles at even odds. Guess the suit and it quadruples at one in four. Either way the round stops at 2,500 coins, which is a hundredth of what the game itself can pay.

The whole rules panel runs to 5,361 characters and never prints a return-to-player figure. The word RTP appears once, in the sentence about the gamble. Source: our own screenshot.

Note: Six steps, about ten seconds each. The gamble round is offered on a base-game win and nowhere else, so you either take it straight away or the chance is gone.

The Steps, in Order

Follow these steps in order; each one is a single action with the control it uses.

  1. Step 1: Win something in the base game
  2. Step 2: Press GAMBLE before you spin again
  3. Step 3: Pick a colour
  4. Step 4: Pick a suit to play the long odds instead
  5. Step 5: Stop at five
  6. Step 6: Watch the 2,500-coin ceiling

Step 1: Win Something in the Base Game

the two right-hand buttons switch from BET MAX and AUTO PLAY to GAMBLE and COLLECT. The round exists only on the back of a win.

Step 2: Press GAMBLE Before You Spin Again

the offer lives only on the win in front of you, and starting the next spin collects it automatically.

Step 3: Pick a Colour

red or black doubles the win at "50% (1 in 2 chance)" in the client's own words.

Step 4: Pick a Suit to Play the Long Odds Instead

hearts, diamonds, clubs or spades quadruples the current win, and the client puts that chance at "25% (1 in 4 chance)", which is the trade the whole round turns on.

Step 5: Stop at Five

the client takes "up to five times in succession" and no more.

Step 6: Watch the 2,500-coin Ceiling

the gamble stops there whatever the streak. That is one hundredth of the 250,000 coins the game itself can pay, which puts the maximum win somewhere else entirely.
