Book of Dead Bet Limits, Stepper by Stepper

In short: Book of Dead takes a bet from 0.01 to 100.00, built from three settings: a coin value between 0.01 and 2.00, one to five coins per line, and one to ten active lines.

The stake here is three numbers multiplied together, not a slider. We pushed each of them to its limit in the developer's demo, and the range runs from a single cent to 100.00.

Game:
Rich Wilde and the Book of Dead (a Play'n GO video slot)
Type:
Slot game
RTP as published:
Five configurations rather than one number: a default of 96.21%, plus 94.25%, 91.25%, 87.25% and 84.18%, with the operator choosing which one its lobby runs.
Max win:
The game states its ceiling in coins rather than as a multiplier: 250,000 coins.
Note: Book of Dead builds its stake from three numbers you set yourself: the coin value, the coins staked on each line, and how many of the ten lines are active. We walked all three to their stops in the developer's own demo. The bet runs from 0.01 to 100.00.

Every figure below was read off the game itself and then checked against Play'n GO's own rules document, and the two agree. We walked each stepper to its limit in the developer's demo rather than copying a specification sheet. Casino limits are listed separately, because an operator can narrow the studio's range but not widen it.

Where the Bet Limits Live

All three controls sit in the settings panel, and the bet is simply their product. We opened that panel in Play'n GO's own demo and pushed each stepper until it stopped moving.

Play'n GO's rules document lists the same floor and ceiling, 0.01 and 100, and names all 21 coin values from 0.01 to 2.00. Fifteen of those values are switched on by default, which is why most lobbies show a shorter list than the certified one. The demo opens at 1.00, built from a 0.02 coin, five coins a line and all ten lines active, and that is the stake we held for both recorded sessions. Nothing in the panel is hidden behind a menu.

Three numbers, one product.

Coins and Money Are Different Units

The game counts in coins and your account counts in money, so the two figures on screen are one win stated twice. At a 0.02 coin, a 3,250-coin feature reads as 65.00 in the status bar. Double the coin value and the coin figure does not move; the money figure does.

This matters for the ceiling.

The 250,000-coin limit is fixed in coins, so what it is worth depends entirely on the coin value you chose. It also means the familiar 5,000x only holds at ten lines and five coins, where the bet works out to 50 coins.

Limits a Casino Can Change

A casino installs the game with its own limits inside the studio's range, and it can narrow that range.

Eurobet publishes a maximum of €50 for this slot, half of what the game itself allows. Nothing stops another licensee from setting a different cap.

Two Builds of the Same Game

BuildMaximum betMaximum exposureCeiling in multiples
Standard100.00500,0005,000x
High-roller1,0005,000,0005,000x

Play'n GO ships a separate high-roller configuration with coin values running up to 20.00 and a maximum bet of 1,000. The exposure ceiling rises with it to 5,000,000, so the ratio never moves. Bigger stakes buy a bigger number, not a better game.

Picking a Bet That Lasts

Work backwards from the feature rather than from the spin. Our longer session ran 204 paid spins at 1.00 and met one free-spin sequence, so a bankroll that cannot absorb a couple of hundred spins will probably run out before the game does anything interesting.

We would not recommend the 100.00 maximum to anyone who has not already watched the base game drift for a while at a small stake.

The ceiling is the same either way. The wait is the part that costs money.
